What is a positive inflammation response?

Inflammation is your body’s essential protective instinct to maintain balance and health. When inflammation exceeds normal levels to become chronic it can damage your body’s healthy cells and tissue and have negative effects. Turmeric’s active compound curcumin helps your body maintain a positive inflammation response so your body can focus on what needs attention without going into hyper-drive. At Temple Turmeric we craft all our turmeric-based beverages with powerful whole-root organic Hawaiian Oana Turmeric and adaptogenic ingredients like black pepper, cayenne, ginger, and plant-based fats that help increase the functionality and bioavailability of curcumin to support this positive inflammation response.

What are symphonic adaptogens?

Symphonic adaptogens are ingredients like pepper, ginger, plant-based fats, and other botanicals that we include in Temple Turmeric to help your body absorb the powerful benefits of curcumin, turmeric’s active compound. The most potent of these adaptogens is black pepper which contains peperine that can increase the bioavailability of curcumin by up to 2000%! Turmeric is also fat-soluble so by adding plant-based fats like coconut oil, coconut milk and hemp milk, Temple Turmeric furthers your body’s absorption.

Other beverages that are in glass must use traditional “heat” pasteurization, which can kill delicate vitamins and enzymes.

What is the shelf life of your drinks?

To help retain the freshness of our premium ingredients, we use a process called High Pressure Processing (HPP). HPP is a non-thermal pasteurization process we use to create all our beverages that maintains the powerful nutritional qualities of raw turmeric. Each of our varieties has a different shelf life based on the ingredients in each recipe. Please refer to the the expiration date on the side of the bottle to know how much time you have to drink your Temple Turmeric.

We always recommend connecting with your doctor or health care professional during this precious, celebratory time to be sure you are getting advice particular to your unique situation. In general, it should be safe to drink and eat foods with turmeric.
